Austin Burns is a multifaceted artist with a passion for theatrical lighting design, audio engineering, and acting. With a rich background in technical theatre and a love for the performing arts instilled from a young age, Austin brings a unique blend of creativity and technical expertise to every project.

As a graduate of Tuacahn High School for the Performing Arts, Austin honed his skills in technical theatre and musical dance theatre, graduating at the top of his class. He began his professional journey at Tuacahn Center for the Arts working on the electrics crew. This early experience laid the foundation for his career in the entertainment industry.

Following his time at Tuacahn, Austin pursued a bachelor’s degree in theatre with a minor in IT at Utah Tech University. While there, he transitioned from academic studies to a full-time position in the university's production department. In this role, he has had the opportunity to work on a diverse array of projects, including theatre productions, dance performances, live music events, orchestras, acrobatics, circus arts, and more.

As a member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT), Austin remains committed to staying at the forefront of industry trends and advancements. When he is not immersed in the world of theatre and entertainment, he can be found exploring the great outdoors, indulging his love for camping, mountain biking, hiking, and other recreational activities. Austin is a lover of music and frequently plays the piano and sings. He especially loves singing duets with his wife, Sydney.

With a unique blend of technical expertise, artistic vision, and a love for storytelling, Austin continues to push the boundaries of creativity in every project he undertakes. Whether illuminating the stage with dynamic lighting designs, mixing audio for bands or musicals, or displaying his skills on the stage, he brings his passion for the arts to life in every endeavor.
